Irish Lost & Found Pet Search By County

Monday, July 6th, 2009

I’ve just rolled out the latest site feature to the live site – county based search. Now you can filter the search results to limit them to listings in your county in the general lost & found, lost and found searches.

You’ll see this feature in action if you hover over any of the search links on the home, lost or found pages. You will also notice that we only list counties for which we have listings currently so you can see at a glance if there are pets listed in your area.  To close the county search tooltips, simply click on any blank area of the underlying page.

County based searches open up a whole new area for distributing more relevant lost and found data to those interested and we will be building upon this in the coming weeks.

Lost and Found Irish Pets Now on Flickr

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

Just a quick headsup to let you know about some news relating to the excellent photo sharing website Flickr.

First off, all new listings with photos will now be automatically posted on our dedicated Lost and Found Pets Ireland Flickr account with a link back to their details page on our site which will help improve the listings’ online visibility.

If you’re a Flickr member, we invite you to add us to your contacts which will help spread the word about our new Flickr presence and also keep you up to date automatically with new listings posted as they will automatically appear on your ‘Contacts’ page.  You can also post your lost or found pet photos and details to our Lost and Found Pets Ireland Flickr Group even if you don’t want them listed on our main site for any reason.
